This book examines for the first time women's experiences and gender relations in the diverse and mobile society of sixteenth- and seventeenth-century London. It focuses on disputes over sex, marriage, and insults, with a detailed analysis based on legal records that have not been used before.
Emma Sayle has created a company that is empowering women through pleasure. She was one of the first people to pioneer a modern, tech-led company that focuses on female sexuality. Emma has found success with the company she described as "founded on the idea of social space to allow women to explore their sexuality.
Killing Kittens KK has run high profile sex parties in London, Manchester and Los Angeles which are normally sold out weeks in advance. MyLondon spoke to Emma to find out a bit more about the process that takes place in order to secure a "safe space" for women and what kinds of people come to her events. Part of this is the selective vetting process for members of the KK network.

People have to set up an online profile and include images as well as other information. Membership is crucial to attending actual in-person events, whereas some webinars and workshops are available online to non-members also. Members are vetted to make sure they are right for the sort of events, mainly sex parties but also social networking events, meet-ups and drinks functions.
We are moving away from wider society where men are on the pull and women feel shamed.
